What is Counselling?

Counselling offers a space to pause and reflect on what may feel difficult, confusing, or overwhelming in your life. It is a space where you can begin to explore your thoughts and feelings more freely, at a pace that feels right for you.

Often, we are not just responding to present-day challenges, but also to patterns and experiences shaped over time. In counselling, we may begin to notice how past experiences influence the way you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others today.

This process is not about giving advice or quick solutions. Instead, it offers an opportunity to think together about what might be happening beneath the surface, and to begin making sense of feelings or experiences that may feel hard to put into words.

As these patterns become clearer, it can become possible to relate to yourself and others in new ways. What once felt fixed or overwhelming may begin to feel more understandable and easier to navigate, creating space for choice and change.

Counselling can be a gentle but meaningful process of developing self-understanding, emotional awareness, and a greater sense of ease within yourself over time.
